The company has recently named the 8th floating storage and regasification plant (FSRU) for Norway's Hoegh LNG company.

The 170,000 cubic meter of FSRU is 294 meters long and 46 meters wide. It is named Hoegh Esperanza and is capable of gasifying capacity of 750MMscf/ day.

Hoegh LNG company says the FSRU will serve Chile's penco-lirquen LNG import terminal and supporting shore-based gas power plants.

Construction of Chile's third LNG import terminal has been delayed due to environmental approvals, so the FSRU will be redeployed to other projects.

According to the latest quarterly report from Hoegh LNG, the company is in talks about the FSRU's medium-term deployment plan, which is expected to begin in mid-2018. The Hoegh Esperanza is expected to be delivered in April.

The ninth FSRU of Hoegh LNG is currently being built by hyundai heavy industries and is expected to be delivered in December 2018. The company's 10th FSRU is now being built by samsung heavy industries and is expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2019.
